What is it that comes to mind when you think about change?

Effective communication is the biggest challenge for organisations at the best of times.  In the middle of a change programme miscommunication represents the biggest threat. Why? Just look at this....

Give me just a few minutes and I’ll show you how to assess your values towards change and how you can best prepare your team for the challenging changes ahead.

If you’re still with me then you are either:

  1. Going through change

  2. Preparing for change

  3. Thinking about how to prepare for change, or

  4. Researching change in some way

The good news for you is that this website is here to help. Click here if you would like to take a simple and effective test which looks at your values, attitudes and beliefs towards change.  You can complete this yourself, or with your team and use it to start the change process off.  I can’t stress enough that for change to be effective the values of all participants need to be similar if not very closely aligned.

The Alchemy Network in association with UniqueTraining4u have developed a one day course which will prepare you, your colleagues and your staff for the changes required.  The course will not only open your eyes and give you a clear understanding of the change process but it will also give you a firm foundation to build on.

I am sure you’ll agree that people are the most important resource in any business and given that change is everywhere it’s really important to prepare them well for it.

A One Day Course Which Delivers Lifetime Benefits

Yes in just one special day this course called “Preparing For Change”  will support you, your staff  and your organisation through change and its adverse effects for years to come:

Training courses come and go but can you remember the last one you went on which had a WOW factor.  Attend the Alchemy Network/Uniquetraining4U “Preparing for change” course and this WOW factor is virtually guaranteed.

Values

Our values are our motivating force.  If we don’t have the right values which support our roles then there will be internal conflict.  This internal conflict drives the response to change.  These responses are one of the following:

  1. Creative Excitement

  2. Heartfelt Commitment

  3. Cheerful Cooperation

  4. Willing Compliance

  5. Malicious Obedience

  6. Rebel or Quit

The one day “Preparing for Change Course”  shows you how to ensure your staff buy into the “Creative Excitement” response to change.  Imagine a team excited about solving your most pressing challenges.

The ideal number for the course is between 8 and 12 but larger numbers can be accommodated.

If you want to improve working relations?  Grow together better as a team?  Improve communication then this course is for you.

For a bit of fun try these two exercises on yourself and your team?

1st Exercise - Your Watch

If you wear a watch and you’ve had it over a year then read on?  Without looking at it I’d like you to answer 3 questions if you can:

  1. 1.What make is it?

  2. 2.What type of numerals does it use.

  3. 3.What appears on the face at the 3,6 9 and 12 positions?

Were you able to answer all three?   If so well done you are definitely in the minority.

2nd Exercise -    What do your see here?

The course will not only change the way you see your colleagues but also your attitude to the challenges you face at work and in your personal life.

OK lets accept that you are going through some changes and you want and need to support your staff through through changes. What are the real benefits of attending a “Preparing for change Course”

Improve Working Relationships

The course involves some team challenges and activities which will result in everyone getting to know each other better and this results in improved working relationships.  Participants will understand their own strengths and weaknesses and begin to understand everyone else’s

Be ready for Change

Everyone will understand who is going to find change the most difficult and therefore be ready to support those individuals.  Some people embrace change easily, you’ll find out who those people are and they can be used as change champions if required.

Be able to assist others through change

The understanding of each others strengths and weaknesses results in a culture of support being enhanced.  When times get tough teams will be able to draw on their experience on the course and better understand some of the dynamics at play.

Increased productivity

With staff who have bought into  ‘creative excitement’  there wil be improved productivity. The course will introduce a review model to ensure issues are identified early and dealt with accordingly.

Objectives fully met

We will discuss your objectives before planning the final programme. Contracts will only be signed if we can fully meet your objectives.

Understand your own learning style

A key part of the course is to understand your own learning style and the impact this has on your attitude and approach to change.  Armed with the knowledge personal and group action plans can be drawn up to produce the desired outcomes.

Action plan to improve interpersonal skills

You can choose to produce an action plan, following the range of experiences which the course delivers, for individuals to improve on their interpersonal skills.

Have Fun

A key part of the day is that everyone has fun.  Learning is at its best in a relaxed, fun environment which will be created.  If need be ground rules can be agreed to reduce any bad behaviours such as sarcasm.
